StereoImageMaker

Remember the 3D-images you watched through red and blue glasses? I thought they were incredible and still do. I always wanted to understand how they worked.

One day I got my hands on a pair of those 3D-glasses and started to scan the net for information on how to make you own 3D-images (or stereo images). I found a lot of useful information but most tutorials was using photoshop. That's a rather expensive program to buy just to play with some 3D-images. So, in order to try out my new knowledge I wrote this program.

How does it work?

First of all you need to take some photos, one for the left eye and one for the right. Then you'll open both images in this program. The program then lets you adjust colors, brightness and the horizontal synchronization of the images to get the best result. Your goal is that when you wear the glasses you should only see the left image with your left eye and the right image with your right eye. You can also preview the result in different ways before you save the mixed 3D-image.

The wiggle-view is the best view for determine horizontal alignment problems.
